What to Expect

Day 00: Kilimanjaro International Airport to Arusha

Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport, picked up by our guide and transfered to Arusha for overnite at Green Mountain Lodge.

Day 01: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Depart from Arusha at 8am with packed lunches to Tarangire National Park for full day game drive in this park famous for Big herds of Elephants and Baobab trees. Dinner and overnite at Twiga Camp (camp has swimming pool).

Day 02: Lake Manyara Park

Depart after breakfast at 8amwith packed lunches to Lake Manyara National park. Proceed for a full day game drive in this park famous for tree climbing lions and birdlife. Later by 6pm head back to Twiga Camp for dinner and o/nite (camp has swimming pool)

Day 03: Lake Manyara to Serengeti National Park

Depart after b/fast from Twiga Camp at 7am with packed lunches to Serengeti national park (home to the “Big 5”). Get there by noon and proceed for afternoon game drive in Seronera area (central serengeti) till sunset. Dinner and o/nite at Seronera Camp. A visit to the Maasai Village can also be done this morning at an extra cost..!

Day 04: Half day Serengeti tour to Ngorongoro

Early morning game drive from 6am till 11am return to the camp for brunch and later by 12pm start your drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and o/nite at Simba Camp on the crater rim (2700mts above sea level). It would be an enroute game drive this afternoon from Serengeti to arrive Ngorongoro by 5pm.

Day 05: Full day Ngorongoro Crater tour

Early b/fast and descend into the Crater at 6am with packed lunches for full day crater tour. Crater is home to the endangered Black Rhino and Pink flamingos inside Lake Magadi. Have lunch by the Ngoitoktok hippo pool and by 3pm start your drive back to Simba Camp for dinner and overnite.

Day 06: Ngorongoro Crater Rim Hike

Early breakfast, depart at 7:30am with an Armed Ranger for a 3-4hrs hike on the Ngorongoro Crater Rim along the Seneto/Malanja Valley for the whole morning. Return to the Camp for lunch there after proceed to Lake Manyara area for dinner and overnite at Twiga Campsite.

Day 07: Mto wa Mbu Cultural tour

Breakfast at the Camp, you will leave at 8am accompanied by a Local guide to visit the Mto wa Mbu village which is famous for cultural tour, local markets, rice fields, sugar cane plantations, Banana Beer, Baobab Trees etc. This walk will take upto 4hours before you return to the Camp for lunch and afternoon swim at the Camp. Depart from Twiga Camp at 3pm to arrive arusha by 5:30pm for overnite at Maasai Camp.

Day 08: Walking Safari Arusha National Park

Early breakfast, depart from Camp at 8am with packed lunches to Arusha National Park. Upon your arrival you will be accompanied by an Armed Ranger for 3-4hrs hike on the foothills of Mt Meru and great view of Mt Kilimanjaro on a clear day. Park also famous for Black and White Colobus monkies. Afternoon can be spent game driving with our safari vehicle before you head out of the park at 4pm to drive back to Arusha for drop off in town/hotel for onwards arrangements.

Excellent 10 day safari with outstanding guide Godfrey We had a wonderful 10 day safari organised by Murtaza of Bobby Camping. Our host, Godfrey was exceptional, a lovely humble Tanzanian gentleman who we got to know during our time together. He was understanding of our two children (10 and 8) and adjusted the timing of our schedule accordingly. His knowledge of the various game reserves we went to was phenomenal and because of this we saw the big 5 including plenty of leopard, lion and cheetah with their cubs. Our accommodation was basic but we knew this would be the case as it helped us find an affordable solution. Miraji was our chef - his food was delicious and authentic which was not straight forward given the simple cooking facilities at our campsites. A positive endorsement is that not only was it tasty but none of us got unwell at any time! We felt we had a very authentic experience and saw plenty of this beautiful country and much of what many other people are likely not to have seen or avoided - the orphanage, the hunter gatherer tribe, the back streets of Arusha, hiking up to the top of the rift valley, visiting the Maasi and much more. Thank you very much indeed for your hospitality and looking after us so well. We thoroughly enjoyed your company and thoughtful consideration of our requirements.

An unforgettable journey to Tanzania We travelled 2 families together in a safari adventure. A 8 day tour was well planned and well directed. Our guide and driver was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife and clearly had a lot of experience. He knew where to go, what to look for, and shared so much interesting information along the way. Most importantly, he really went out of his way to make sure we made the most of every safari day and had the best possible experience. We were also very happy with all the hotels and lodges arranged for us – they were comfortable, beautiful, and very well chosen. We came home with wonderful memories from Tanzania and would definitely recommend this company to anyone planning a safari!

More Than We Expected When we booked this 5-day camping safari, we hoped to see plenty of wildlife, but the experience exceeded our expectations. From the first day in Tarangire to our final morning in the Ngorongoro Crater, every day felt different and full of surprises. The Serengeti was simply incredible, with endless plains and wildlife everywhere we looked. A big thank you to our guide, Godfrey. He had a great sense of humor, made us feel comfortable from the start, and was always happy to answer our questions. We especially appreciated that he never rushed us during sightings and always tried to find the best viewing spots. The days started early, but they were absolutely worth it. Sitting around the campsite in the evenings and sharing stories after a full day of game drives became one of our favorite parts of the trip. We returned home with unforgettable memories and would happily do it all over again.

A Well-Organized Safari Adventure Our 4-day safari with Bobby Camping Safaris was one of the highlights of our trip to Tanzania. We visited Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater, and each destination was unique, with incredible wildlife and stunning scenery. Our guide, Amani, was fantastic throughout the journey. He was patient, knowledgeable, and had an amazing eye for spotting animals. We saw elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, and so much more. He also shared interesting facts about the parks and wildlife, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Everything was well organized, from the camping to the meals, and the atmosphere throughout the trip was relaxed and enjoyable. This safari gave us memories we'll be talking about for a long time.
