Disappointment - We booked a six days safari for a family of seven based on excellent reviews and personal communication. I am not happy to write a negative review but I feel... read more that I must share our experience to give an exact information to the next travelers. First of all, the vehicle itself was 25 years old and looked and felt accordingly. The last car of this series was manufactured in 2007. It was one of the oldest we met in our journey. Its suspension was terrible and we felt all the bumps on the road and there was plenty of them. The last row was very crumpled and unsuitable for adults. Actually it wasn’t even possible to put both legs down. Also there was no AC. There is a lot of dust in Serengeti and you’re not able to ride with the windows open, so we were soaked with the sweat that was not pleasant at all. The rust from the roof was falling on our heads. Furthermore, at some point part of the mashing body just broke down and fell on the road, so the driver had to fix it on the roof. We contacted Bobby as soon as we saw the car and he assured us that all his vehicles are the same. We had an opportunity to compare this vehicle with the one that took us to ballon Safari on the same road an that was a completely different experience. The driver was OK but not more then that. But the most disappointing thing happened on our way back to Zanzibar. When the driver took us to the airport in Arusha and left, we were surprised to find out that our flight wit Flightlink was transferred to the Kilimanjaro airport and left an hour before. More then that all the flights to Zanzibar for this day are full. The agents of the airline showed me an email that they sent to Bobby the day before informing about the change of the flight and denied any responsibility. Finally after an hour or so of very unpleasant negotiations we were transferred to the different airport and left to Zanzibar in the evening. Of course the transfer to the hotel we paid for was gone. So instead of arriving in our hotel at 15:00 we arrived at 23:00. We also arranged the celebration of our anniversary that evening in the hotel that was gone too, together with our good moods etc. I don’t want to write about other things as I really don’t like to write bad reviews but this was too much for us. Also it was disappointing that we didn’t get any apologies for what happened.
